Her Smile Was Even Brighter!
Have you been following the World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest, Hungary? They have just finished. and the United States got the most medals of any country, including the gold medal in both the men’s and the women’s 100-meter race. Japan had a number of promising athletes competing, and on Thursday, Kawano Masatora got the bronze in the men’s 35-km race walk. Then, on Friday, Kitaguchi Haruka competed in the javelin throw. I remember Kitaguchi and her smile from last year’s World Championships when she got the bronze medal. This year she was ranked number 1, and she showed the world that she really is number 1. She took home the gold, and her smile was even brighter!
