Why I Like Online Conferences
Before 2020, I usually attended face-to-face conferences in Japan. I traveled to another city and watched presentations at a university or a business center. This year I have been to two online conferences. Instead of traveling, I went to a website and chose Zoom presentations that sounded interesting. These conferences had a couple of good points. First of all, they were cheaper to attend because I didn’t have to travel or stay at a hotel. Secondly, I was able to watch presenters from Germany, Poland, Hungary, and the U.S., and I learned a lot about online teaching in other countries.
