My 50th Time
I gave blood at a Red Cross center last week. I know some people don’t give blood because they are afraid of needles, but they shouldn’t be afraid. The nurses are very good at their job. They know how to take blood without hurting you. I have been doing it since I came to Japan. When I gave blood for the 25th time, they gave me a yellow glass cup. Last week was my 50th time. This time they gave me a green glass cup. Now I have matching cups, so my wife and I can drink together. It took me many years to reach 50 times, but I did it! Why don’t you help the Red Cross? Someone needs your blood.
