Teenage Power
The ISU Four Continents Figure Skating Championships were held in Seoul over the weekend. The top two female winners were teenagers. Kihira Rika, who is 17, won her second Four Continents tournament in a row. The local Korean favorite, You Young, who is only 15, came in second, followed by Bradie Tennell of the U.S. Hanyu Yuzuru got the highest score ever for the men’s short program. Although he didn’t give his best performance in the free program the next day, he won the gold medal. Jason Brown of the U.S. got the silver, and Kagiyama Yuma, another teenager, got the bronze.
